You'll Find Me Chasing THE WANTED

I had such an awesome time during The Wanted concert last September 14! First off, I really want to thank Tim Yap for giving us the awesome tickets!!

Now, I've been a fan of The Wanted ever since I heard a snippet of their song, All Time Low, in DJ Earworm's Like, OMG Baby (Capital FM Summertime Ball Mashup) Remix of the Top 15 Pop Songs in 2010. It had, at most, just 5 lines but it was enough for me to google them. You can imagine my reaction when I found out that they were coming here for a concert! I was absolutely ecstatic!!

For those of you who don't know, The Wanted is a British-Irish band that was formed back in '09. Jayne Collins, the same woman who put together The Saturdays and Parade, was the one who held the auditions and put these gorgeous men together.

(L-R) Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes, Max George, Tom Parker, Siva Kaneswaran

The show started off with the awesome Pioneer Dj, Arra Pascual. It felt more like we were at a party than a concert. She played songs that got everyone in the mood to dance!

After DJ Arra's performance, the audience was getting antsy, people shouting and screaming the moment anybody came on stage. The moment the boys came out, all hell broke loose! The screaming of girls was all anyone could hear (I admit to being part of that screaming). They started off with their song Invincible.

I just have to say that I have the BIGGEST crush on Nathan, and he's the only one in the group that's my age *wink wink*. I went with my best friend, Tin, and we were surprised to see that most of the fans were 11-16 year olds. I assumed that the fan base of The Wanted here in the Philippines were people around my age, but hey, these kids have good taste.
Moving on... I really really enjoyed the concert! I kept shouting and dancing and just really got into it, while my partner in crime, Tin, just stood there watching me, wondering what in the world was happening to me.

I loved that the boys weren't scared to be themselves and just be goofy, doing little dances to the side and just being funny. You could see that they were comfortable and loved what they were doing. Their performance was also very very good. They had high energy and it was very infectious. It was difficult not to jump up and down and dance to their songs.

Jacqui, my lucky sister, was not only able to go to the Meet and Greet of The Wanted, but during Heart Vacancy, they wanted some of the audience members to go up on stage to sing to. Of course, Max saw my sister in her I love British Boys t-shirt and picked her. I swear she was close to tears as I watched her hug Max and the rest of the group.

Some of my favorite photos of the night

They had a group hug which made me laugh cause they all looked so cute!

This is one concert I won't soon forget. Super thank you again to Tim Yap for not only the tickets, which was more than enough, but for the signed Battleground album as well!!!! I absolutely love it! Thank you!

my Amazing CAMPing experience!

If you guys think I actually went camping - dirt, hiking boots, tents and all - then you are sadly mistaken.

When I say camping, I mean ACamp. The ACamp (a.k.a. Assimilation Camp) of AIESEC is a way for the new members to get to know the different departments of the organization, meet the executive board of their Local Committee and of course, to meet our fellow members. I have to say that this experience has changed my perspective on student organizations forever. I'm a very active student and I love all my orgs but I can honestly say that I'm willing to quit everything to focus on AIESEC (don't worry other orgs.. I'm not going to quit...... yet.)

AIESEC UST was established a year ago, under Ralph Sales. In only its second year, AIESEC is slowly gaining the reputation of being great organization in the University of Santo Tomas.

UST ACamp 2012 was held last August 26-27, 2012 at AltaRoca Mountain Resort and Convention Center in Antipolo.

We were greeted by our energetic dancing facilitators. (If you're not a morning person, like me, this can become quite overwhelming. haha)

For the rest of the day, we were all given a group as each Local Committee Vice President discussed how their respective department works with each of them conducting a unique simulation.

Peter Gyorfi (National Vice President for Talent Management and Local Committee Development)
 facilitating one of the groups
Nathan Quiambao (LCVP Finance) helps a group with the
Talent Management simulation
Guam Partosa (LCVP External Relations)
My awesome group: Mervin and The Girls, with our Facilitators, Bea and Jill

After every break, we were called back into the plenary hall by... yes... more dancing..
At some point, every time we hear a song playing, we all go running into the hall and start to dance. (I have to comment that, now, every time I hear Starships by Nicki Minaj, I find myself with an urge to dance.)

Joyce Domingo, UST's LCP, telling us about her own AIESEC experience
Our very wacky facilitators

National Vice President for Communications
Joyce Domingo, UST's very pretty Local Committee President
Our two fun masters, Chino and Jill!
Michael Fua, Peter Gyorfi and Chino Araullo from AIESEC in the Philippines

In AIESEC, I've found like-minded people who share the same vision as I do, to create a positive change in the world, it may sound a bit idealistic, but it's very true. The only regret I have regarding AIESEC was not joining sooner.

I love how after just two days spent together, we've made new friends, met people who changed our lives, and people who have inspired and believe in us. In the two weeks I've been a member, I can honestly say that I have fallen in love with this organization and the people who work to make it what it is.

CA Students!

I am a VERY proud AIESECer.

This is an SOS! Jonatics, Hold On!

If you guys don't know, I'm a very very big fan of the Jonas Brothers. I've loved them ever since before their days in Disney.

from the Music Video for the Theme Song of American Dragon: Jake Long
I've been waiting for them to come to the Philippines for about 8 years now. As more and more bands and artists came, I started to lose hope since they've been absent from the music scene for a while now. But I just got AMAZING news! I saw a tweet from Philippine Concerts and Manila Concert Scene saying that they are coming here for a concert this OCTOBER 19, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Of course, like any normal Jonas Brothers fan, I started to FREAK OUT!!

Jonas Brothers soon became the Trending Topic here in the Philippines.

And of course all my crazy fan-girling tweets

Now all I'm waiting for is the start of ticket selling! No price is too high for a Jonas Brothers concert! I've already even changed my cover photo on facebook!
