Made In Candy

For All Saints and All Souls Day, Mom, Jacqui and I were left at home. Just the three of us... So you can imagine that by the afternoon of the first day, we were rolling around in bed and figuring out what to do with our lives. On October 2, we decided to go to Rockwell to watch Wreck-It Ralph (which was awesome, btw). We got there early so we had dinner and walked around. While we were walking, we saw a stall in the middle with a lot of people so we decided to check it out. We were instantly amazed by what we saw.

There were little jars of candy with cute little designs and we saw them actually making the candy right there!

I love how they can make different shapes and they can even make little words on the candies and while I'm not that much of a candy-person, their candies really taste yummy!

Thank you so much for giving us some of your awesome candy!!
My favorite.
If you wanna go and check them out, their stall is on the second floor of Rockwell, near La Senza. :)

Check this video out if you wanna see how they make their candies.

Trick or Treat!

A few weeks ago, Mom thought of holding a potluck dinner for Halloween. She wasn't supposed to go all out for this since most of the guests were friends of my little sister, but of course, after seeing all the halloween decorations for sale, Mom couldn't help but pull out all the stops.

Our awesome dessert table filled with so much treats for everyone.

Our supply of blood for our Vampiric guests
Eye Macarons from Andreas Pastry Art

Even our lawn and trees were decorated!
Amazing paper lanterns from Kenneth Cobonpue
Made by Larbs, our resident pumpkin carver
Some of the resident ghosts decided to make an appearance
The spotlights that Robert Blancaflor lent us really helped with the spooky trees

I love how everyone wore costumes! Made the night super fun. :)
I went as a broken doll while my sister, Jacqui, went as a shot zombie.
I really liked this penguin costume!!! Just because I really love penguins!
A street person was able to get in and was caught stealing some candy
James Reyes, Puey Quinones and Candy Dizon

Not sure if what Ninang Jenny is wearing is considered a costume because I can totally see her wearing it anywhere... But hey, she says she's Sporty Spice..
Janina Dizon-Hoschka
My cousins as superheroes!

My younger sister's friends were in really creative and some really gruesome costumes.
I really like the costume of Dead Waldo! :)

It was such a fun night! There was so much food that I feel like I gained a couple of pounds that night alone. The decor was so amazing and the people really got into the halloween spirit!
With my grandfather and Larbs
Jae Pickrell is so creepy!
Do you see what I see?
Me and Mom wore matching costumes!

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Burnin' Up The Stage, JoBros Style!

Now I'm speechless, over the edge, I'm just breathless. I never thought that I'd catch this love bug again. Hopeless, head over heels in the moment. I never thought that I'd get hit by this love bug again.
-  Lovebug (Jonas Brothers)

October 19 2012. The day my life began.
If you haven't read my previous blog posts, you should know upfront that I'm a HUGE Jonas Brothers fan. I have been ever since I was just a freshman in high school and I've been waiting years for this concert to happen! After a two-year hiatus and working on their own solo projects, they've finally come back as a group. (Thank goodness, I don't know how much longer I would've lasted without any new JoBros songs in my life)

There were two opening acts for the Jonas Brothers. Paraluman played a few of their songs and really got the crowd excited. Up next was Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, a long time friend of the Jonas Brothers and a very talented Filipina! She had roles in Disney shows and movies such as Hannah Montana, Cake T.V. and of course, Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2. She also starred in the broadway revival of Godspell last 2011.

When the Jonas Brothers finally went on stage, I have no shame in saying that I freaked out! Up to now, I still can't believe I've actually seen them in the flesh!

In an article in the Inquirer by Pocholo Concepcion, it said that the Jonas Brothers would have no gimmicks, just music, during their 2-night concert here in the Philippines. It was amazing how they shifted from one song to another instantly! I loved that they were able to play so many of their hits that had everyone in the audience singing along. They gave such an amazing performance, bringing along their energy and enthusiasm. For Jonas Brothers fans, it was a real treat to finally hear Kevin Jonas sing. For those who aren't really familiar, Kevin usually sings back up or not at all, so for him to sing is a big deal for all the JB fans here! I also really loved their backdrop. It would change from the façade of a building to stars to just bursts of color. It was awesome!

Nick Jonas (aka My Future Husband)
Kevin Jonas (aka Future Brother-in-Law)
Joe Jonas (aka Future Brother-in-Law)

They also played new songs from their upcoming album. I loved hearing their new sound and as a JoBro fan, it's nice to simply hear new songs. They played Let's Go, Like The First Time and  Wedding Bells (which is rumored to be about Miley Cyrus, ahem ahem). I'm so excited to get the new album!
They were able to play 26 songs!!
I loved how the Jonas Brothers gave their band a chance to shine by letting them sing on their own. I loved seeing Garbo, Jack Lawless, John Taylor and Ryan Liestman, the same band they started with, still with them today. It's so nice knowing that they aren't only a band but a family, it makes me love them more.

All in all, it was an AMAZING (yes, I know I use that word too much) concert! It met and exceeded all my expectations for an Jonas Brothers concert and now, I'm more hooked than ever! I can't wait for their next visit. I'm so happy with all the love the Jonas Brothers are got over twitter before and after the concert! It makes me so happy to see other people who also appreciate the music they make.
YUMMY.

Thanks so much Tita Debbie and Mom for the tickets! I love them! Best concert ever!

First time wearing my Nick Jonas & The Administration shirt.
